Grand Final – Day 4

Mt Clear 1sts have won a cliffhanger against Brown Hill by 7 runs to finish the year premiers and champions. With momentum from 2 late wickets last night the Mt Clear boys picked up form there and claimed early scalps to have Brown Hill 9 wickets down with 27 runs to play with. Nerves were high as Brown Hill edged toward the total but skipper Nathan Yates finished a superb game claiming Matthew McMahon LBW to clinch the flag. Nathan Added 6 second innings scalps to his similar haul in the first. Congrats to Yater and the boys.

The 3rds have completed a premiership trifecta by batting Coronet City out of the game on the final day. Starting the day seven down Peter Tuddenham led the side to tea with the help of Liam Carter and Graeme Temby, only losing the one wicket before the break. While Peter lost his wicket first ball after the break his 149 had sealed the flag for the 3rds. Coronet City conceded the game shortly after with Mt Clear 9/337. Well done to Burf and the boys.
