The recent Past and Presents Members Day saw a reunion of Mt Clear statistical royalty. Don Callahan, who had traveled up from Melbourne, and Anthony Tigchelaar, current Mt Clear President, came together 18 years after setting several Mt Clear records. Both had played in the 5th XI premiership that were celebrating the 20 year reunion. However, when Mt Clear set about chasing 128 against East Ballarat in the 5th XI during Round 11 during 1995/96 few tipped what was about to happen. Don and Anthony came together at 1/60 after Rodney James had been dismissed for 20. What followed was the largest partnership in Mt Clear history. 404 runs later Don was dismissed for 166 leaving Anthony to go on and make 293.
