PROFILE:
Roger returned to the club in 2008/2009 after a couple of seasons away from the game. Roger made his debut for the Mounties in 1998/1999 and chalked up his only career century for Mount Clear in his first season, making 117 vs Coronet City in the 4th XI. He has played mostly as an opening batsman throughout his 7 seasons at the Mount Clear Cricket Club. Roger is a popular member and was appointed captain of the 4th XI after only 3 seasons at the club. Bowling is not really Roger’s forte, possessing the build that closer resembles that of a jockey (see nickname) rather than an intimidating opening bowler. His limited opportunities with the ball have yielded 1 career wicket @ 67 runs, allegedly taking only one more: Roger claims to have clean bowled Shaun Jeffrey in the nets!
