PROFILE:
Holla made a return to the club last season after the best part of 20 years away excluding a brief cameo in 1998/1999 of 8 games including 100 against the hapless Lucas at Vic Park and even playing 1 game back in the 1st XI for 37 runs. Craig had his best season in 1984/1985 when he topped the 1st XI batting aggregate with 669 runs at 51.5 in the team that went on to win the flag that season, sharing the opening duties with Marty Williams. His consistency that year would be good enough to win the E.J. Cleary medal most seasons if not for teammate Brett Millgate who took 59 wickets. Craig had to settle for third place but managed to achieve a club record for most runs in the 1st XI that stood for 15 years.

After leaving the Mount Clear Cricket Club in the 1980's, Craig went on to represent Sunraysia in the Melbourne Country Week titles and played in the Melbourne Premier League with Prahran making it as far as the 2nd XI. He even played a few games in Inverness, Scotland for the Highland Cricket Club. Craig's highest accolade came when he was a member of the Victoria Country team that took on the touring Sri Lankans in Bendigo in season 1987/1988. Batting at number 8, Craig unfortunately made a duck - caught Ramanayake bowled Labrooy, but still a fantastic effort to be selected in the team. Off the field, Craig is a fantastic asset to the club, donating his time and skill to keep a photographic record for our archives. He is responsible for the superb photos of last seasons 1st XI and 20/20 Grand Finals.
