PROFILE:
John is another second generation Mountie after his father Gerard
and is another cricketer that has risen through the juniors at Mount
Clear. He is a genuine number 11 batsmen with an unfortunate batting
average of 4.17 that includes an impressive 23 not outs to date.
Bowling is more John's forte and is regarded by most club members
as one of the hardest to bat against in the nets with his natural
in swinging action. The majority of John's career so far has been
in the 3rd XI. He has played as an opening or first change bowler,
backing up the likes of Scott Mason, Dave Clark and Brent Williamson
but we are looking for John to take the next step up into the 2nd
XI as he will be more dangerous on turf. John is seen as a future
leader of the club both on and off the field and we hope to have
him around for many more years to come.
