Super 8's Teams - Trade Update
Date of event: Wednesday February 26, 2020

The busy Mountie Super 8's Trade Week has concluded in some big deals across the teams.

In an unprecedented move Super Coaches Darcy Emmerson and Jack Jeffrey sprung a surprise move, in the shadows of the U15 National Championships, to merge and form the Woofers/Raptors.

In other trades:
1. Clever cricketer, Sam Lund, has been traded to the Gladiators to fill the Mystery Young Gun role and will join fellow big hitter Meg Mason.
2. Little speedster Grace Draffin was a top pick trade from the Woofer/Raptors to the Reds and should fit into the 'red frog' salary cap...just!
3. In arguably the biggest deal, Connor Stout and little master Ronin Johanson join the Crusaders which will have the punters on the Terrace talking.
4. In a late deal the talented Chloe Cook has traded 'dark green' for the 'lime green' and will boost the Luigi's top order and bowling ranks. Chloe's been in good form and will be one to watch.
5. Pocket dynamo, Ivy Storey has been a huge pickup for the Gavin's and although costing Super Coach Fletcher McCarty a big bag of Red Frogs, will be worth it.
6. A broken finger to superstar Kolby Haley last round has provided opportunity for the youngest Draffin, Coco, to be called up. Beware the Young Gun on Debut! In probably the first time since the Tuddenham family were in full flight, this will see all FOUR Draffin's grace the Mt Clear Cricket Ground at the same time.
7. Smashers Super Coach Jack McCallum managed to blindside all other teams with the lucrative signing of Jack Dwyer. In his only Trade Week interview, Jack said 'I am rapt to be able to play alongside Mountie idols Holly Draffin and Yo Mani. It will be amazing to play with these big kids!'.

All the action starts 6.30pm, Saturday 29th February, after the 2nd XI curtain raiser between Mt Clear and Wendouree.
