MOUNT CLEAR CRICKET CLUB - CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

The Mt Clear Cricket Club is committed to providing all of its members with enjoyable social and competitive experiences. Pride and respect are features of a successful club. A proud club sets high standards for itself and a club which is driven by pride earns the respect of the community in which it functions.

The Code of Behaviour has been developed :

1. To maintain and enhance the reputation of the Mt Clear Cricket Club in the Ballarat sporting community

2. To ensure that the conduct and presentation of all senior players serves as a positive example to all younger players and their families

3. To establish and maintain standards which will best protect the enjoyment of all players and supporters, and will also serve to attract players and their families.

General Expectations :

1. Play within the spirit and rules of the game

2. Play hard and play to win, applying aggression intelligently

3. Show maturity in the acceptance of decisions of umpires and administrators

4. To recognise and support the efforts of team mates, committee and supporters

5. Be aware, at all times, of the responsibility that all senior players have as role models for younger players in the club

Specific Expectations :

Dress

1. That players will dress neatly in standard cricket attire and wear club sweaters and caps

2. That regular cricket shirts or Club training tops be worn at all club training sessions

Punctuality

1. That 1st and 2nd XI players are at grounds, dressed ready for warm ups, 30 minutes before start times (20 minutes for other grades)

2. That players should be at training sessions ready to commence at the advertised times

Behaviour

1. That players do not attempt to unfairly distract or intimidate opposition players

2. That the use of foul or derogatory language is eliminated from both match and practice settings
